  • Important: Before a student can schedule a challenge exam, they need to meet with the faculty department chair to discuss components and expectations of the test for final determination on testing.

    To apply for CPL to use toward your certificate or degree at Blue Mountain Community College, you will need to:

    1. Complete and submit this form.
    2. Pay required fees once application has been approved.

    NOTE: Students applying for prior learning credits must be registered during the academic year in which the request for CPL is made and transcribed.

  • Notes: BMCC Policy on Credits for Prior Learning options is limited to 25% of the degree or certificate the student is pursuing. Residency requirements and degree requirements also must be met. Challenge exams will be recorded on college transcript with a CH notation. Fees (paid in advance) associated with taking the Challenge Exam do not guarantee a pass score. The transferability of CPL credit is different at each college; students should be aware of this notation, if transferring credit to another school/university.
