CPL Application - Portfolio

PRIOR LEARNING ASSESSMENT PORTFOLIO
Important: Before a student can submit a Portfolio, they need to meet with the faculty department chair to discuss components and expectations for final determination. Completing the application does not guarantee credit will be awarded, it is the first step in the process.

To apply for CPL to use toward your certificate or degree at Blue Mountain Community College, you will need to:
1. Complete and submit this form.
2. Pay required fees once application has been approved.
NOTE: To apply for credit you must be a currently enrolled student at Blue Mountain Community College and have completed at least one course at the time of application.

Notes: BMCC Policy on Credits for Prior Learning options is limited to 25% of the degree or certificate the student is pursuing. Residency requirements and degree requirements also must be met. Portfolios will be recorded on college transcript with a CH notation. The transferability of CPL credit is different at each college; students should be aware of this notation, if transferring credit to another school/university
