2026-2027 CREDIT EXTENSION APPEAL

Our records indicate that you have either:

Received an Associate degree from BMCC, or a Bachelor or a Master degree
Attempting an additional degree and have already completed significant credits
Reached the 150% Maximum Timeframe
- Federal regulations limit financial aid eligibility to 150% of the number of credits required to complete a degree or certificate. Our records indicate that you have either attempted 150% of the credits required for your stated degree or, based on how many credits you have already attempted, you will not be able to complete your degree here at BMCC within the 150% limit.

In view of this, you are no longer eligible to receive Federal Title IV aid (Pell grant, FSEOG grant, Work Study, or Loans) or State aid (Oregon Opportunity Grant or Oregon Promise Grant).
You DO HAVE THE OPTION to appeal to continue receiving financial aid at BMCC. To appeal you must meet with your Faculty Advisor or Navigator to explore career options (strongly encouraged) to have a clear plan, AND submit this appeal form with supporting documentation.

If the appeal is approved, I understand I will be placed on Academic Probation and must adhere to the following: Only register for classes required for the approved degree Only pursue one degree while on probation Successfully complete ALL credits attempted NOTE: Grades of INC, W, F, FA, NP, and AU (and D for transfer degrees) are considered unsuccessful. Failing to meet any of these requirements will result in a suspension with no option for an additional appeal.
